the "Voice of God" returns home

Early in the day while doing the house-hold mundane, I got a "hit" about what I'd be doing when the call came....

And the vision was exactly that when my phone did ring last night at 9:48PM, September 1, 2008. Our mutual friend Sinaa' - who first introduced me to The LaFontaines years ago - delivered the news, "Don died today", she cried into my voice mail, before I could answer.

I was comforted by my amazing partner O'Brien and our dear friend Orin who came for dinner. O'Brien had been wanting Chicken Chile' Verde and got the feast she requested, homemade with love. Orin had a second-helping. The dish was hitting the spot. I used quinoa instead of the traditionally-used white potato.

When O'Brien asked what I needed (in that moment) I had images of Don smiling, laughing, being vibrant - I have so many fond memories - shuffling like pages in a picture-book or more appropriately, trailer snip-its in a movie - memories especially of being in his home studio together.

In between watching him record spots for TV during his scheduled takes - and I loved to watch him work - Don was always devouring books and learning. One week, he'd buy a new HD video camera, the next week, he was editing a self-scripted home movie (that would become The LaFontaine's "Christmas Card") with a fun story, titles, cinematic continuity and the quick improvisational humor of Don. Other times I'd show up with black licorice chews - one of Don's vices - and we'd watch William Peterson portraying Gil Grissom shepherding his on-task team in a back-to-back episode CSI fest.

In his studio is also where Don gave me kind and experienced words on relationships and family; talks I'd never had growing up, talks that filled my heart with love and put my very busy intuitive and intellectual Virgo mind at ease. One of the first things he ever said to me was, "You're too smart for your own good." Oh boy did he hit the nail on the head - Don was also a man of great vision, insight, intuition and worldly life-experience. When Don spoke, the world wasn't the only body that listened; I was all-ears. I learned so much from Don and will continue to grow from our friendship and his love that I cherished. Perhaps my favorite words to hear him say to me: "I love you kid."

I bet Don could call the President or Monarch of any nation 'kid' and get-a-way with it. Don was 'The Man' - unpretentious and appreciative for every blessing that came to his life. He once shared with me that, before he did anything, he always considered how his wife and children could be impacted and made decisions based on that. What a concept! Don had mastery over the lost art of consideration. He knew the true alchemy of abundance and shared this magic with others by his words and actions.

We all choose our own role models at different points in life and for specific lessons. I continue to choose Don. And I do say with chutzpah: damn, I've got good taste!

The best way I know of for loved-ones to honor each other is to live fully. Don knew how to live and love; he was alive! "To live" was my reply to O'Brien's caring question, responding immediately when she watched my dramatic energy-shift while I was listening to the message from Sinaa'.

I need to live. She took my hand leading me to the couch. Holding my body close to hers, my head to her breast, I felt a loving heartbeat and followed her calm breath which also instinctually invited/encouraged me to live - and be present. With Orin massaging my feet with caring and confident touch simultaneously, I couldn't have asked for better support. (Thank you!)

A great, great man - a beautiful soul - has crossed-over. As medium, I know we continue and we can all speak to our loved-ones, believe me they are around. As woman, I honor the healing process by grieving loss and celebrating life. It is a journey for us all.

I love you Don and will pray the Angels bring reinforcements, pulling double-duty to mind your devoted and loving family.

God bless you Don, Nita, Christine, Skye, Liisi, Riley, Duchess, Dena, Jack, the fish and the bird and Jeff & Maria.

In love and service, your friend,

Tuaca

healing prayers for Don LaFontaine

Dear Friends,

Don LaFontaine is a tremendous man, devoted husband and amazing father of three dynamic young women. His generosity of spirit, passion for life and the regard he holds for his family is what most touches me about Don. He is responsible for his life, impeccable with his word and exudes authentic confidence. He is genuine through-and-through.

Don is also a talent whose voice had touched your life - where you know it or not. I'll put it this way, if you've ever seen an American-made blockbuster or watched commercial television, you have heard his voice - rich, commanding, unwaivering, comforting voice - for over forty-years, perhaps your entire lifetime.

Today I write you asking to hold Don in prayer, to thank the source or identity that resonates with your personal ideology or cosmology, (God, Buddha, Angels, "Higher Power", Sacred Geometry, et cetera) for already healing him completely.

I admire Don deeply and hold an unprecedented father-daughter love for him. He is important to so many and - at least his voice - is secretly-known by billions.

Please become a minister in this moment and gift a prayer, a blessing, an intention, an acknowledgment for this beautiful soul, this remarkable man - and one of the funniest, quick-minded and witty people I know.

See Don here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJMGS7l0wT8

Thank you.

In love and service,

By request from those who desired to share some of their personal experiences so that they too may encourage healing, hope, humor or faith in others. May their words also give you comfort and should you too like to share, kindly let me know.

Yours in service,

Tuaca

in their words...

“Tuaca,

You and your work have proven to be a mainstay in my life. Your keen intuitive edge, and AMAZING healing abilities are like nothing I have ever experienced before. I have had a lot of healers work on me, but when you worked on me remotely, while I was in the hospital, I could feel the energy traveling through my cells. Today, I walk completely unfettered, with no limp, I have no pain, no problems, and the doctors can not tell that my bones were ever broken. Thank you for your love, your gift, and your generosity in giving of your gift. It has changed my life.

-Terry Yoder, Tarot Reader/Intuitive Counselor, San Francisco

“I have known Tuaca Kelly for 15 years, since meeting her when I was a guest teacher at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Kelly is a lady with a great psychic gift. She takes her time to get the information she can, and has a delicate and respectful way of communicating what she senses to others. I am deeply impressed by her impeccable ethics and her bright, enquiring consciousness.’

-Hugh Milne, President & Founder of Milne Institute, Inc., Author of 'The Heart of Listening: A Visionary Approach to Craniosacral Work'

“When we met, Tuaca saw me! I mean she really saw who I was! Tuaca began ‘to read me’ and members of my family as no other had done before. Her accuracy was uncanny, non-invasive, humorous, life giving, life restoring, and maybe even life-saving. What I was able to give in return was small compared to her generosity of spirit. An hour-and-a-half of my life flew by without my notice. I would therefore unequivocally recommend even clients of mine to witness/experience Tuaca’s rare gift of ‘sight.’”

- Philip G. Schultz, Spiritual Counselor

"It's rare to encounter such a bright and talented spirit as Tuaca Kelly. I've watched Tuaca work with tender souls that have lost a loved one. She was brilliant in her ability to make contact with their dear departed and offer those who remained, a moment of contact that, I believe, they will cherish forever. Her honesty and integrity is inspiring."

"Hi friend,

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how happy I am that I got to meet you yesterday at the Psychic Fair. The experiences you guided me through were extraordinary and I am forever changed. I feel lighter, I feel empowered and I feel very lucky to have a second "birth", a second chance at being the awesome person I know I can be. Thank you so much for helping me to make these changes. You truly have an incredible gift. I have sought information and guidance from many, many people in my life but very few have genuinely looked into my soul and spirit like you did. I've already implemented some of the suggestions that you gave me and I feel like they will only change my life for the better. I hope you will find your life's purpose and fulfillment in what you are doing to help others. Thank you again..."

Your Friend,

- Diana Hooper

“Tuaca,

I had a reading done by you, and I was amazed at how in tune you were to me. I never would have thought that anyone could pick up on the specific things about me that you did. I have to be honest; I was a little skeptical at first. But you said things to me that you could never have known. I look forward to a healthier future thanks to you. I look forward to meeting with you again, when we have more time. Thanks again for the inspiration you gave me and the insight of the things I need to work on to become healthier.”

Sincerely,

-Syndee Schneider--Wife and Mother--Reno, Nevada

“Tuaca Kelly did something amazing. I had an allergic reaction at lunch. I usually take Benadryl when I have s reaction like this. I had large red blotches and itchy skin. I was in the Emergency Medical Profession for many years and have a hard time believing in holistic remedies. Tuaca asked if she could help me. I know she thought she was an intuitive. I said yes, without the belief she could help me. It helped, imagine my surprise. I felt warm and within seconds the itching had stopped. The red blotches were gone…. This is amazing because it usually takes hours for the itching and blotches to go away with the Benadryl. I am a believer now. Thank you Tuaca.”

-Jackie-Jaynes-Creel, Mother, Wife & Wealth Builder

“Tuaca has a warm-hearted nature and a sensitive rapport with her students and clients and a broad background in the healing arts. I have no hesitation in recommending Tuaca. She is enthusiastic, hard working and a reliable member of a team and is committed to her work. I wish her all the best!”

-Liz Kerley, Healer & Intuitive, Australia

"I attended the Psychic Fair this weekend to help a friend with her booth. While there, I noticed there were numerous people giving readings. There was one woman (Tuaca) whom I was drawn to and had a short conversation. I felt comfortable talking to Tuaca and
observed that she "senses" the energies of people. This convinced me to ask her a few questions on challenges I am faced with. She was very accurate and has given me definitive paths, which will help me in some decisions I need to make. I recommend having an "intuitive" relationship with her."

-Wil Fujii, The RAM Group, Reno, NV

"Dear Tuaca,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSIGHT! YOU WERE 100% RIGHT ABOUT YOUR INTUITION FOR MY MEDICAL ISSUES AND FOR MY FRIEND WHO WAS MOURNING.

Just a note to tell you how right on you was with the reading I received from you at the psychic fair in Reno. I had struggled with asthma and bronchitis for two months and had seen an array of specialists, doctors and nurse practitioners for this illness - 4 to be exact. Until you mentioned that you *felt* I had GERD, and *saw* my esophagus being inflamed I had no idea that it was a problem for me. I never had indigestion before and never thought the two were associated. You told me to sit up when I sleep and to take acid reducers. Well, the very next day I had an appointment with a new younger doctor at Pulmonary Medicine Associates, one that I had not seen before. After seeing the list of medications that I was taking, he took me off several of them, and added Acidfex (an acid reducer) to the regime as he determined that my esophagus was irritated from acid reflux disease and was actually causing my asthma to go out of control with the irritation. He said the two were linked! He told me also to sleep with my head elevated. I told him that you had told me the day before at the psychic fair, that you had seen my esophagus was being eaten away and red and sore from the GERD that you saw that as being my problem not even knowing anything about me. He said that there maybe something to your intuition! I did get the prescription and have gotten somewhat better from taking it and using your tips.

YOU EVEN KNEW THAT I HAD JUST HURT MY KNEE (EVEN THOUGH MY PANTS WERE COVERING THE LARGE SCAB) YOU KNEW I HAD HURT IT!

That was really weird that you saw my injury through my pants. It was if you had x-ray vision. No one knew that I had that large scrape but me (even though at the time I forgot I hurt it). You kept insisting my left was injured and I kept denying it, because my asthma was what I wanted to talk about. You were so insistent I raised my pant leg to prove it [was fine] and remembered the scab and bruise and the three of us laughed our heads off. My friend said, "How could you forget a scab that big"?

PS: The friend whom I brought with me for a reading that same day remarked after we left that indeed, you hit the nail on the head. She was in fact dealing with mountains of grief and found it hard to let go of her ex-husband, whom she had nursed during his bout with cancer until it took his life. She as his hospice nurse had been through that for 5 months and had never gotten over it nor went through the grieving process. You knew all about this without ever having met her before. I was just as amazed, as she was that you knew about her "landfill of grief" which she had not confided to others about since it had been 9 months since her ex-husband had passed away. You also told her of some childhood ‘pictures’ of her you saw in your head that were totally accurate to an even more extent that I am able to tell you here! Your vivid picture that you described were just as accurate of the ones she had described to me. You were right about everything you said about her. As her best friend, I know what you said was true and she later admitted to me that it was true and everything that you had said about her was accurate. She never did let go of that experience and it was heavy on her heart just as you had said it was. Some other things about her that you knew were also very true. You said nothing to either of us that was not true to the pinpoint of accuracy. I want to tell the world about you, Tuaca. You are truly amazing!

You have my permission to print this! I only hope is that more people can be helped by you!

tuaca, a fine italian liqueur

FAQS:
beautiful what does your name mean?" "Is that native American?"
"African?" "Japanese?" "Tuaca, like the alcohol?" "Were your parents
hippies?" "Were they drinking it when you were conceived?"
"Have you ever tried it?" "Like in Fried Green Tomatoes?" "No really,
what is your real name? Let me see your driver's license!" "Well
what's your stage name?" "I bet you get asked this question all the
time; do you get tired of it?"

I could continue with examples in this vain, yet knowing you're an
intelligent and gentle soul, I'll only continue with the story, a true
story where answers will appear like (insert metaphor here). So finish
brushing your teeth, put on your pajamas and hop into your bed,
hammock, cot, tatami mat or whichever sleeping spot finds you each
sunset. Now, scoot along and groom. I'll be here sipping tea. Ah,
nice a clean? Fine, let's continue.

Long, long ago during the renaissance of Italy a lightly sweet
amber-colored Italian liqueur based on fine, cask-aged brandy
possessing a rich fruit-like flavor or vanilla and citrus was off the
hizzie! This elegant concoction, was one to truly behold and enjoy. I
wonder what creating it was like. That day of discovery, may or may
not have looked exactly like this:

Day INT:
1601 Tuscany region, Italy. Francesco and Lucianno were brothers who
began their baking shift each morning at 3:00, no 4:00, no 5:00, in
their family's house where they lived and worked. Taking their second
breakfast, sipping brandy and eating mixed fruit pie, Lucianno motioned
to Franesco for some fresh milk.

Lucianno - 24 year old. Olive skin, lithe body, happy and passionate.
His hair is unkempt yet his glowing smile takes the attention away from
his bohemian appearance. He is slouched over his pie plate sharing the
large wooden table with his younger brother Francesco.

Lucianno: Hey "Cesco", give me tha milk!

Francesco - 23 years old. Olive skin, lithe body, happy and
passionate. Kept his hair short like his favourite stage actor who
also worked as a waiter in a neighboring village. Franceso fancied
himself a great opera singer too yet each time he went to sing, his
brother would pull his shirt over his head.

Francesco: Get it yourself, it is closer to you!
Lucianno: Why you gotta be like a goat?
Francesco: You're a goat!

A brotherly wrestling match instantly ensued: milk, brandy, vanilla and
orange essense magically wound up in a bottle and Tuaca was born!

Okay, I don't know the exact details of HOW Tuaca the fine Liquor
Italiano was created, just when and where. It was very popular in its
time among the passionate Tuscan people. Bravo!

Hundreds of years later, Gaetono Tuoni & Giorgio Canepa imported Tuaca
to the US. I was told by a family friend of Tuoni & Canepa that they
combined their names together and made up "Tuaca". The "Tu" obviously
from "Tu" in "TUoni" and the subsequent letters pulled from "CAnepA".

In the 1970s, Tuaca was the new drink, often found on the bar near the
Uzo and Kahlua though they taste nothing alike. Tuaca is a milk-brandy
with essence of vanilla and orange. Oaxaca is a town in Mexico and
Chewbacca is a fictional character. See, they taste nothing alike.

So my mother, while pregnant with me was at Guliver's Bar with my
would-be God Mother "HL" who was dating the bartender there. He
introduced Tuaca the liqueur to his girlfriend and my Mother. On the
spot, my Mother said, "I'm going to have a daughter and her name is
Tuaca!"

I've had Tuaca once in my life. As a child, I made a date with my
Mother to have Tuaca together for the first time on my 21st birthday.
I'm happy to report that I did like the warmth, body and flavor of
Tuaca - had three shots and inverted my glass. Drinking, isn't my
thing despite the fact that I am a second-generation American of Irish
& German descent.

Yes, I am named truly named after the fine Italian liqueur by my
hippie Mother - as printed on my birthday certificate, baptismal
certificate, GED & future awards. Incidentally, "Towanda" is the
war-cry popularized by the movie based on the book written by Fannie
Flag: "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe'"

Drink responsibly with compliments and only when you're feeling happy.

- Tuaca Kelly
